Our Annual Fall Vacation

We loved the cabin. Has all the amenities needed. The drive up to the cabin is breathtaking! The falls that run in front of the cabin are beautiful! If you're looking for secluded this cabin is for you! Close to the blue ridge parkway and Cherokee too! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Nice except a few things: No garage lights could be illuminated at night; Very slippery surface on part of deck exposed to the natural elements; living room recliner chairs are filthy; blinds in MB are destroyed. We were not told about the almost three-mile treacherous entrance to find the house.

We strive to make sure all of our guests enjoy their time while visiting the beautiful smokey mountains. Yes, Bear Falls is one of our beautiful secluded homes nestled in the top of the mountain and does take a little drive to reach the top but worth it when you get there:) We will definitely check into the issues you mentioned on the inside as well and we appreciate you making us aware ... Bear Falls Cabin Anniversary Trip Stay July 2018

After reviewing lots of choices for the perfect cabin rental for our 5 year wedding anniversary, we selected Bear Falls. If seclusion, fresh mountain air and an active creek with waterfalls sounds good then rent this cabin! What a lovely home inside with all imaginable amenities. We literally brought just our clothes, groceries and paper and trash products and the rest was there for us. A few maintenance areas that we alerted the rental company to were accepted with a quick commitment to address. ( Air conditioning needs recharged, dryer needs replaced, game room needs a good dry out and gas logs need replaced) One final note that the fire pit area is cozy but functional ( Please consider trimming the nearby trees) and the hot tub was spotless and worked well. We were offered a partial credit due to the prior mentioned needs. Have not received it yet but am confident that Melissa will come through. Worth the money!!

Bear Falls Cabin

Review by Teddy W.
THE CABIN WAS VERY NICE. BUT THE HEAT DID NOT WORK GOOD. WE HAD TO CALL FOR SOMEONE TO COME FIX IT BUT IT STILL DID NOT WORK VERY WELL. THE WALL UNIT DOWN STAIRS WOULD NOT STAY LIT. THE FIRE PLACE LOGS ARE A JOKE NO HEAT COMES FROM THEM AT ALL. NEED TO GIVE BETTER DESCRIPTION OF HOUSE AND HOW FAR OFF THE ROAD IT IS. HAD TO DRY THE TOWELS THAT WERE LEFT BY HOUSEKEEPING IN THE DRYER.GLAD WE CARRIED OUR OWN TOWELS. IF WE WERE TO COME BACK I WOULD TRY AND FIND A BETTER LOCATION AND HOUSE.

Good Morning! We are saddened to hear that your experience was not what you had expected at Bear Falls. Yes this is one of our more secluded homes located in the hills of our Smokey Mountains and we certainly apologize that you were not made aware of that. We also apologize for the inconvenience of the heat not keeping the home as warm as you like and laundry being left in the dryer... we will defiantly mention this to housekeeping and maintenance . We hope you had a nice Thanksgiving! Have a nice day! The Premier Staff!

Nice Cabin but Beware!

Review by Alan W.
My husband and I chose this cabin based upon the photos and the Maggie Valley location. The description failed to point out that the several mile gravel road is barely wide enough to accomodate one car, much less two. In fact, about a quarter mile before you get there, there is a sign that warns, "Only four-wheel drive vehicles permitted beyond this point." Upon arriving, we were stunned that the cabin was only accessible by climbing a STEEP flight of stairs that WERE NOT pictured AT ALL in the cabin description. While we're not elderly, we are older and would have appreciated knowing this. The inside of the cabin was very nice; neat, clean and comfortable. Given the fact that we were using the cabin as "base camp" for daily photographic adventures, we would have a chosen a more easily accessible cabin.

Good morning! Thank you for sharing your concerns and we certainly apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. When a booking is made online we do not have the personal connection that we desire to have with our guest. We agree that some of the mountain roads are steep, curvy and one way roads and while some also require 4 wheel a lighter note we are very pleased that you found BEAR FALLS to be a very nice cabin, clean and comfortable. We sure hope to accommodate you again on your next getaway to the beautiful smokies and please call our office and we be glad to help you. Have a nice day! The Premier Staff!

Bear Falls cabin is at a beautiful location the cabin beautiful

cabin and location is beautiful but it does take about 20 min drive up or down the mountain to get to the main road. the cabin is a very nice cabin but is not child proof. We had our 17 month old granddaughter with us and we had to watch her every minute the front storm door did not stay closed and she could push it right open . All the plugs were open and exposed to her , they need caps on them. The only tub in the cabin doesn't have a mat or non slip strips on it she slipped down a lot. There was not enough towels or washcloths. I had to wash them everyday to be able to use clean ones for the next night. The pilot light on the heater down stairs would not stay lite or the TV down there would not work. I called for assistance with them and they did come and light the pilot on both the logs and the heater but could not help us with the TV down stairs or in the master bedroom. over all we had a wonderful time Premier did bring us a new coffee pot, witch was great. The cabin was very clean and the hot tub was awesome/ we would very much look at renting this cabin again.

Ok

Review by Shane T.
Cabin was awesome clean and very secluded. Unfortunately the power went out for 2 of the 4 days we had the cabin so we had to leave after two nights. The management company said they would credit us but never did. I would just wish the management company would follow up with their promise since we only stayed there two nights.

Good Afternoon Mr. We certainly do apologize for the lights going out of the cabin and having to leave early... The Hurricane caused many issues with a few of our homes and we tried to accommodate each guest accordingly... This was a very unfortunate situation for Premier Vacation Rentals and a few of our guest... but we are up and running We have credited your account that was on file with Premier, please check your bank to make sure you received the credit, If not please call our office at so we can help you solve this issue. Once again we apologize for the inconvenience that was beyond our control. Have a nice day and we hope to be able to serve you again in the future. The Premier Staff!

Peaceful retreat

Review by William N.
This was our first time in Maggie Valley area and won't be our last. We enjoyed our week at Bear Falls immensely. Very private location with mountain and stream views. Cabin clean and comfortable and obviously well cared for. Just the right size for 4-5 adult size people. Be aware cell reception weak but cabin has WiFi and land line. The drive up off route 19 a bit rough but we had no problem in a rental SUV with 2 wheel drive in wet conditions. Less than 10 minutes off 19 and another 15 minutes to get to town. Very convenient to Blueridge Parkway and Smokey mountains.

Peaceful, secluded retreat

Review by Jennifer B.
Wow, were we impressed with this rental! The creek is really the major selling point for this one, it was so wonderful to enjoy the sights and sounds from the deck. WiFi isn't listed as an amenity but they do actually have Wifi, don't let that deter you from renting this beauty!

If you love the sound of a creek this is your cabin.

Review by Sherry S.
This was a lovely cabin. Smaller than what I thought it was by looking at the pictures online but lovely nonetheless. The view of the mountains was minimal. There is "a" mountain to look at but the highlight of this cabin was the lovely, flowing creek below the deck off the front of the cabin. It was like camping beside a waterfall. The sound was so peaceful and lulled us to sleep every night. I LOVED the creek but I would rather have views of the mountains. My husband disagrees with me and would rather have the creek. lol So I suppose it all boils down what you want whether it be views or the wonderful sound of the creek. The hot tub was heavenly. Waiting until dark then climbing in the hot tub looking up at the mountain watching the moon and stars while letting the water wash away the day.....pure heaven. God's creations are so amazing and we totally enjoyed this little piece of heaven.

Relaxing, but .....

Review by William A.
The creek that runs in front of the cabin was such a bonus. Listening to it was extremely relaxing. The hot tub was also very relaxing after a long hike, and when there is a clear night the stars you see while soaking are beautiful. However, we feel the cabin is overpriced since the mold/mildew smell in the basement game room made it unusable. The rest of the cabin was smell free.
